Morning asana in the grass

Yesterday, the first day of August, I woke up and took some friends to the Garden of Ideas in Ridgefield.  It doesn’t look like much from the road but park in the lot (more like trail heads) and start exploring.  We grabbed some mats and followed a trail to a grassy, shaded area.  There were surprisingly bees & butterflies buzzing but they left us alone and there weren’t any bugs.  Amazing for a beyond organic garden.  We practiced asanas under the sun with the sound of the tall grasses, with the sound of the rooster, with the sound of the birds and the feel of the breeze.  It is total bliss.  As one of the students said, it is so great to just look up and see an amazing blue sky.  After the one hour class, we took a little walk on the dock to check out what was happening on the lake, stopped by the farm stand to pick up some goodies and went home.  All of this and we were still home by 10:30 in the morning, relaxed, exercised, inspired and ready to start the day.
